Consulting Services
Has your project team "hit the wall" of resistance and are unsure of where to turn? Are you short of internal resources who can effectively manage the organizational resistance to the change? Do you need to deploy a project leader who can deliver the change management strategy and action plans that will be right, the first time? Do your executives, managers and change agents need a mentor/coach so that they can truly lead as sponsors of the change?

Our consultants can be an integral part of your project team by providing a wide variety of services in support of your project:

    Jeanenne LaMarsh
  • Assess the organization's change readiness and/or the project plan for its ability to address the "people issues"
  • Build the business case for change in terms the employees will understand and accept
  • Develop an over-arching change strategy and the action plans to drive the change
  • Coach and mentor executives and change agents on how to be effective in their roles
  • Align the change management strategy and its Communications, Learning and Rewards/Recognition Plans with the project implementation plan
  • Direct all aspects of the change management effort
  • Develop the Sustainability Plan and metrics for sustaining the change

Although we tailor our Consulting Services for our clients, we also offer several "bite-sized" consulting programs that deliver recommendations and actionable plans.

Project Assessment: Evaluate your project plan in terms of how well it addresses the change management issues.

Project Workshop: Provide your project team with the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of good change management while they apply the Managed ChangeTM process, model, tools and tactics to the project or challenge at hand.

Project Planning: Consolidating and evaluating all of the data collected during the assessment and the workshop. Creation of the over-arching Change Management Strategy for the project as well as the initial versions of the Communication, Learning and Reward/Recognition/Reinforcement Plans that support the strategy. Assistance in aligning the strategy with the project implementation plan. Launching the Change Management Strategy, the Communication Plan and the sponsorship development program.

Managed Change™ Downsizing Assessment: If you are experiencing or anticipate downsizing due to the economic crisis, we will conduct a Managed Change™ Downsizing Assessment to ensure that your plan includes a process to recognize and address the potential resistance from the various parties affected by the downsizing.

Change Readiness Assessment: Determine who will resist, why they will resist, and what impact that resistance could have on your change (the magnitude of the risk to the project).

The Leader as Sponsor of Change: Provide the leadership with an overview of the value of proactively managing the change and what their role must be. Begins the process of developing their skills to lead the change in a way that they can drive new behaviors, technology, process & culture changes in their organization.

Mid-Project Assessment: Assess and validate the change management plans and activities in mid-project so that the implementation team can confidently move ahead toward success. Provides classic third party clarity and objectivity to insure that unrecognized gaps, organizational changes and scope drift will not negatively influence or impede the project. Identifies appropriate mid-project course corrections and enhancements that lower the risks to the success of the project.

Managed ChangeTM Sustainability Evaluation
The implementation team is disbanding and the consultants have been sent home...

Before you schedule that party and begin celebrating, ask yourself the following question:
Will the change you just implemented sustain itself over time?

The Sustainability Evaluation-a package of change consultative services-provides you with a disciplined assessment and analysis of your new Current State, and recommendations for sustaining your change. We will:

  • identify opportunities to ensure that the change is truly accepted and adopted by your organization;
  • identify the potential sources of resistance that may impede your progress in the future, and
  • assess the change from a target's perspective (those who were required to change their behaviors).

Following the interviews, data collection and analysis, we will present our observations and findings with recommendations to management for developing further action steps to insure that the change will be sustained and the benefits maximized.

We also provide Executive Coaching for those leaders who require specific guidance on their role as a Sponsor of Change.
