Tips & Tools for Managing Change and Maximizing Success
October, 2006 Issue
In today's U.S. healthcare system, employers find themselves caught in the middle of two opposing forces: employees and their families who anticipate generous medical benefits versus increasing healthcare costs with no relief in sight. Employers are justifiably concerned about remaining competitive when healthcare costs represent such an extraordinary share of the price of doing business. Healthcare isn't just an HR issue anymore. It's a business issue, and a change issue.
Companies are now in a unique position to both influence and facilitate effective healthcare change. In this issue of Case for Change we will explore the shifting landscape from the employee perspective and how companies must plan for and execute change to best meet their needs while being fiscally responsible. In a future issue, we will look at how and why companies change from an external perspective, including relationships with vendors, providers and the government.
