Karl Oestreich
Manager of Consulting Services

Biography

Karl Oestreich is a Manager of Consulting Services for LaMarsh & Associates, Inc. His engagements have focused on manufacturing re-engineering and manufacturing systems implementations. He has a deep experience base in the installation of ERP systems from small job shop operations to global repetitive and batch operations.

Karl believes in combining the Managed Change™ model with his project management experience to provide effective project plans that increase efficiency, reduce risk, and increase the overall quality of the change.

Karl has a broad range of problem solving and communication skills that he uses to identify business issues and build solid change management strategies. He facilitates the learning programs for audiences that include management, change agents, and targets helping clients to identify and execute change management strategies. He builds upon the participants experience by leading discussions on both effective and ineffective attempts of major change. By sharing best practice experience, Karl engages students of Managed Change by coaching and mentoring their development through real-life application.

Since joining L&A, Karl specialized in building the action steps necessary to manage change into the project plans of a variety of system implementation methodologies.

Karl's recent engagements include support of Motorola's alignment of Digital Six Sigma and Managed Change. Karl has also been spending time in Malaysia building Managed Change into PETRONAS' Change Management Unit.

Background

Karl Oestreich has eleven years professional consulting experience in manufacturing systems and change management. He began his career as Inventory Control Manager at a local manufacturer. He quickly became involved with their ERP system implementation, taking the lead role in the manufacturing implementation.

Karl later joined APICS (American Production Inventory Control Society) and moved on to take a position with a professional manufacturing consulting firm. He was quickly promoted to Project Manager, in charge of client engagements, large scale system design and implementation projects, and software vendor relationships. As an associate of L&A, Karl became familiar with the Managed Change model, and decided to incorporate the model with his consulting skills by joining L&A.
